Feature · Data Automation Platform

A data automation platform that treats your records as the source of truth.

Data automation lives or dies on the record. Strkr's platform turns a CRM record into an automation substrate: field changes trigger flows, enrichment runs on write, orchestration moves data between systems, and governance tracks every mutation. The platform runs where the data already lives rather than orbiting it from a third-party integration tool.

What a data automation platform does

The jobs the platform earns its keep on.

A data automation platform is not a single feature. It is a cluster of related capabilities that together take data work off humans: move records between systems, enrich records when they arrive, trigger downstream work on changes, orchestrate multi-step flows, and keep governance tight across the whole thing. Strkr's platform does each of those jobs well because they are built around the record, not bolted onto it.

Move data

Records flow between systems cleanly.

The platform moves records between the CRM, the warehouse, the marketing tool, the finance system, and the support platform. Movement happens on a schedule, on an event, or in real time. Operators do not maintain a maze of scripts to keep systems in step.

Enrich on arrival

Records land complete, not partial.

When a new lead or account lands in the CRM, enrichment steps run on arrival: firmographic data appends, duplicate check, scoring, geographic context. The record enters the system complete. Operators do not maintain hygiene after the fact.

Trigger on change

A field change kicks off the next step.

When a field changes (stage advances, status flips, owner swaps), the platform triggers downstream flows: notify the owner, create a task, update a report, call an external API. The record is the source of truth, and the platform listens.

Orchestrate multi-step

A flow that spans systems and steps.

Complex flows run across multiple steps: a deal closes, finance creates an invoice, support provisions access, marketing fires a welcome sequence. The orchestration is visible, versioned, and testable. Multi-step work does not live in a tangle of individual integrations.

Transform in flight

Reshape data between source and target.

Data moving between systems rarely matches on both ends. The platform transforms in flight: field mapping, derived calculations, lookup joins, format normalization. Transformations live with the flow, not in a separate ETL product.

Govern end to end

Every mutation traceable.

Every data mutation lands in an audit log with the triggering event, the actor, the before and after state, and the downstream effects. Governance is not a feature; it is a property of every automation. The audit trail is the floor, not the ceiling.

The trigger model

How the platform knows when to act.

A data automation platform without a strong trigger model fires too often or too rarely. Strkr's model carries five trigger types (record events, field changes, schedules, external webhooks, manual) with clear semantics for each. The maker picks the trigger that matches the real-world event the flow is responding to.

Record events

A record is created, updated, or deleted.

The simplest trigger: a record of a type is created, updated, or deleted. Flows fire on the event with the record payload available. The maker filters further with conditions. Record events cover the majority of common automations.

Field changes

A field moves to a value.

A finer-grained trigger: a field moves to a value or crosses a threshold. The flow fires only when the condition is met. The maker avoids running flows unnecessarily. Signal precision is a first-class concern.

Scheduled

A flow runs on a cadence.

Flows run on a schedule: every hour, every day at a time, every weekday morning. Scheduled flows handle batch jobs, roll-ups, and recurring maintenance. The cadence respects time zones and holiday calendars.

External webhooks

An outside system sends a signal.

External systems invoke flows through webhooks. A payment platform signals a successful charge, a marketing tool signals a form submission, a support system signals an escalation. The platform listens and responds.

Manual trigger

A human kicks off a flow.

Operators invoke flows manually from a record detail page, a dashboard tile, or a list view. The flow runs on demand with the operator's context. Manual triggers suit flows that need a human decision before firing.

Compound triggers

A combination with explicit AND or OR.

Advanced flows combine triggers with explicit AND or OR logic. A flow fires when a record is updated AND a field changes AND the current time is within business hours. Trigger logic is explicit, not hidden in prose.

The action library

What the platform can do once a flow fires.

A data automation platform earns its name by the actions available to a flow. Strkr's action library covers the common verbs: update, create, notify, call, enrich, calculate, route, approve. Each action carries input validation, error handling, and audit logging. The maker composes complex automations by chaining actions with explicit dependencies.

Update records

Change a field, flip a status, assign an owner.

Update actions change a field on a record: assign to a new owner, flip a status, append to a text field, increment a counter. Updates respect field validation and audit logging. The platform never mutates a record without a trail.

Create records

Spawn a task, a case, an activity.

Create actions spawn new records: a follow-up task when a deal advances, a case when a trigger fires, an activity when an event lands. Created records inherit sensible defaults and the triggering context. New rows always carry provenance.

Notify humans

Email, Slack, Teams, SMS via Strkr Messaging.

Notify actions reach humans through email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, or SMS via Strkr Messaging. The notification carries context, a link to the record, and a next-step affordance. Operators receive signal, not noise.

Call external APIs

Reach out to any system with HTTP.

Call actions invoke external APIs over HTTP. Headers, body, authentication, retry policy all live in the action configuration. The flow integrates with any system Strkr does not read natively. Nothing is locked in.

Enrich records

Append data from a provider.

Enrich actions call enrichment providers to append firmographic, demographic, or geographic data to a record. The platform standardizes provider output into the Strkr data model. Operators do not deal with vendor-specific shapes.

Approvals

Route a decision to a human.

Approval actions pause a flow and route a decision to a human. The approver receives a notification with context, approves or rejects in a single click, and the flow continues on the chosen path. Human decisions sit comfortably inside automated flows.

Enrichment that lands clean

Records enter the system complete, not partial.

Enrichment is the hardest part of a data automation platform because it mixes external providers, matching logic, and quality thresholds. Strkr's enrichment runs on arrival with configurable providers, confidence thresholds, and conflict resolution. Records enter the system as complete as the external world can make them. Hygiene is a byproduct, not a weekly chore.

Provider selection

Pick the right enrichment source.

Each enrichment step picks the right provider for the data type: firmographic, demographic, technographic, geographic, intent. The platform supports multiple providers so the organisation uses the right one per job rather than forcing one vendor to cover everything.

Confidence thresholds

Only apply enrichment above a quality bar.

Each enrichment action carries a confidence threshold. Low-confidence matches are flagged for human review instead of being applied silently. The record never silently inherits bad data. Operators see what came in low-confidence.

Conflict resolution

Rules for when provider and record disagree.

When a provider returns a value that conflicts with the record's existing field, the platform applies a configured resolution: provider wins, record wins, flag for review, or append both. The policy is explicit per field, not left to accident.

Deduplication

Catch duplicates on arrival.

Enrichment includes duplicate detection. When a new record matches an existing one, the platform surfaces the duplicate before saving. Operators merge or reject. Duplicates do not clutter the CRM for a quarter before someone notices.

Scoring

A fit or intent score computed on arrival.

Enrichment can run a scoring step: fit score based on firmographics, intent score based on behaviour signals, routing score for queue assignment. Scores live on the record and drive downstream automations. The record arrives ranked.

Governance stamps

Every enriched field carries its provenance.

Every enriched field carries a provenance stamp: provider name, timestamp, confidence score. Audits see what came from where. Humans overriding an enriched value replace the stamp with their identity. The record's lineage is intact.

Orchestration across systems

Flows that span the business, not just the CRM.

A data automation platform earns the title when it orchestrates across systems. Strkr's platform runs flows that span the CRM, the finance system, the marketing tool, the support platform, and the warehouse. The maker builds a flow once and it runs end to end rather than firing a notification into a Slack channel and hoping a human picks it up.

Visual flow builder

A canvas for designing multi-step orchestration.

The flow builder is a visual canvas with trigger nodes, action nodes, branch nodes, and merge nodes. The maker drags steps, wires them, and sees the full flow in one view. Complex orchestration becomes legible instead of trapped in nested configuration.

Branching logic

If-else that respects the data.

Flows branch on data conditions: if the deal size is over 50k, route to the deal desk; if the lead score is above 80, create a hot-lead task. Branches evaluate against the record and the flow's intermediate state. Logic is explicit.

Parallel execution

Steps that can run in parallel do.

Independent steps execute in parallel so flow latency matches the slowest branch, not the sum of all steps. The maker marks parallelism explicitly or lets the platform infer from dependencies. Flow performance is not an afterthought.

Error handling

A path for when things go wrong.

Every action can declare an error path: retry with backoff, route to a human for review, log and continue, or halt the flow. Failures are first-class events, not silent drops. The flow's posture under failure is explicit.

Idempotency

Re-running a flow is safe.

Flows are idempotent by design: re-running the same flow with the same inputs produces the same effect without duplicating actions. The platform avoids the classic retry disaster where a notification fires three times. Idempotency is a system property.

Flow testing

A sandbox for flow validation.

Makers test flows in a sandbox before promoting to production. The sandbox runs against synthetic data or a replica of production. The maker verifies the flow's behaviour across normal and edge cases before real records flow through.

Governance of automation

Automation that passes a compliance review.

A data automation platform without governance is a liability. Strkr's platform logs every trigger, every action, every mutation, every decision. Admins see what automation runs, who authored it, who authorized it, and what it has done. Compliance teams reconstruct the system's behaviour at any date. Automation is auditable by construction.

Audit log

Every flow run recorded.

Every flow run lands in an audit log with the trigger event, the actor, the input state, the output state, the actions taken, and the result. Audit teams reconstruct the system's activity at any date. The log is queryable through the open API.

Approval workflow

New flows get reviewed before production.

New or edited flows move through a review workflow before production. A reviewer validates the trigger logic, the actions, and the error handling. The flow deploys only after approval. Changes to production automation are deliberate.

Role-based editing

Who can edit which flows.

Flow editing is role-based. Operators run flows; makers edit flows; admins deploy flows. The role matrix is explicit. Operators cannot change automation behaviour; admins cannot deploy flows that have not been reviewed.

Field-level sensitivity

Flows respect masked fields.

Flows that touch sensitive fields (PHI, compensation, financial detail) respect field-level sensitivity rules. The flow cannot write a sensitive value to an unauthorized target. Governance travels with the data, not just the user.

Retention and purge

Audit logs retain and purge on policy.

Audit logs follow the organisation's retention policy: configurable retention windows, automatic purge after the window, exceptions for ongoing compliance review. The platform's own data lifecycle respects the organisation's requirements.

Compliance stamps

HIPAA with BAA, SOC 2 track, GDPR, CCPA.

Strkr is HIPAA compliant with a BAA available, pursuing SOC 2 Type II with completion targeted through 2026-Q4, GDPR, and CCPA compliant. Automations inherit the tenant's compliance posture by default. Regulated workloads are supported.

Common questions

What buyers ask about this feature.

What does Strkr's data automation platform cover?

Record movement between systems, enrichment on arrival, triggers on record events and field changes, multi-step orchestration with branching and parallelism, in-flight transformation, end-to-end governance with audit logs, and an open API for programmatic control.

Does it replace a standalone integration platform?

For organizations whose automation lives around their records, yes. For organizations with heavy integration needs between systems where the CRM is only one of many data sources, the platform composes alongside standalone integration tools through webhooks and the open API.

How does the platform handle enrichment conflicts?

Each enrichment field carries an explicit conflict resolution policy: provider wins, record wins, flag for human review, or append both. The policy is set per field, not left to accident. Low-confidence matches route to review rather than being applied silently.

Can flows span multiple external systems?

Yes. Flows invoke external APIs over HTTP with configurable authentication, retry policy, and error paths. A single flow can touch the CRM, the finance system, the marketing tool, and the support platform in a single run. Orchestration is end to end.

How is the platform governed for regulated workloads?

Every flow run lands in an audit log. New flows move through an approval workflow. Role-based editing separates operators, makers, and admins. Field-level sensitivity rules apply to automations. Strkr is HIPAA compliant with a BAA available, pursuing SOC 2 Type II with completion targeted through 2026-Q4, GDPR, and CCPA compliant.

Is there an open API for building custom automation?

Yes. Strkr publishes an open API covering records, flows, triggers, actions, and audit logs. Developers build custom automation on top of the platform or integrate with external orchestrators. Nothing is locked inside the product UI.
