Built for reps that want an assistant, not a sidebar bot
The virtual sales assistant that lives inside the pipeline, not inside a browser extension.
A virtual sales assistant should be the context layer under every click a rep makes: open an account, see a brief; close a call, see a logged summary; reply to a prospect, see a drafted answer. Strkr AI runs those jobs inside the CRM where the data is, not from a sidebar that keeps asking for OAuth.
The virtual sales assistant category has three archetypes right now. The first is a browser extension that overlays Gmail or Outlook with a draft button powered by a generic LLM. The second is a conversational agent inside Slack that answers questions by querying the CRM through a sync layer. The third is a bolt-on inside the CRM that charges a credit per interaction. All three fall apart under the same stress test: the moment a rep needs context from the actual record, the assistant either hallucinates, lags, or asks the rep to upload the context manually. Five pains show up on every discovery call for this category.
The sidebar OAuth problem
Three sidebar bots, three sets of permissions.
A rep running a sales-assistant extension, a note-taker extension, and a prospecting extension has handed OAuth to three different vendors reading the CRM. Each sees roughly what the OAuth app is granted, which rarely matches the users own visibility rules. The admin team has three independent authorization boundaries to audit. Strkr AI runs inside the CRM UI with the users claims, so there is one authorization boundary and the assistant can only see what the rep can.
Context handoff lag
The assistant does not know about the call that just ended.
A rep ends a discovery call at 2:15. The note-taker summarizes at 2:17. The drafting assistant runs at 2:20 to write the follow-up. It has never heard of the call because the sync has not completed. The reply goes generic. Strkr runs transcription, summary, and drafting on one data model so the 2:20 draft reads the 2:17 summary without a sync gap.
Credit meters on assistant calls
Every reply draft is 1 Breeze credit.
HubSpot Breeze meters past a monthly floor. Salesforce Agentforce prices per Flex credit. Generic LLM-wrapper assistants charge per generation. A rep running 20 drafted replies a day on a credit-metered assistant hits the ceiling in week two. Strkr AI runs on the flat per-seat line with no per-generation meter below the plan cap, which is the piece that lets the assistant stay switched on through quarter end.
Hallucination on account owners
The assistant confidently invents the account owner.
A generic LLM-wrapper assistant with no retrieval over the live schema will say Acme belongs to Sarah when it belongs to James. It is pattern-matching from training data. Strkr AI runs retrieval over the live tenant DB with inline citation, refuses rather than guesses when retrieval returns nothing. The grounding is in the architecture, not an afterthought.
The chat-widget feel
The assistant looks like a 2023 chatbot.
Many sales-assistant tools ship as a chat bubble in the lower right corner. The rep opens the chat to ask a question, waits 4 seconds, gets a response, closes the chat. The interaction is friction-heavy. Strkr AI runs in context: the brief shows on open, the draft shows in the reply box, the summary shows after hang-up. The assistant is a layer under the UI, not a separate conversation.
Vendor branding in the UI
The ribbon says powered by OpenAI on every demo.
Several assistant tools expose the underlying model vendor in the UI copy. Reps do not care. Procurement committees hate it. Strkr labels the capability as Strkr AI across every user-facing surface. The router may call the right model for the task based on task fit; the choice is an operational detail buyers never surface in a vendor-approval memo.
What the assistant does
The nine jobs that compound in week one.
A good virtual sales assistant does not try to be a chat bot. It drafts, summarizes, briefs, scores, enriches, flags, and asks. The jobs that save hours per rep per week are the mundane ones. The cards below are the jobs that are live on customer accounts right now and move the needle on day one.
Account brief on open
A paragraph of context when the rep lands.
Every account carries a Strkr AI brief that refreshes on open: champion identity, last-discussed topic, open commitments, signal in the last 7 days, next best action. The rep reads the brief in 20 seconds instead of scrolling the activity feed for 4 minutes to reconstruct the state.
Reply drafting
Inbound thread, drafted reply ready in seconds.
A prospect replies. Strkr AI reads the thread, the account, the open opp, the last three activities, drafts a reply that references the actual Tuesday discovery notes. The rep edits in 15 seconds and sends. 25 to 40 minutes saved per rep per day on reply surface alone.
Call summary
Hang-up to logged call in 15 seconds.
A recorded call ends. Strkr AI transcribes, extracts outcome, identifies next steps, drafts the summary, tags objections and competitor mentions. The rep approves on the parking-lot walk. The call is logged with substance.
Next-best action
The assistant suggests what to do next.
On every account the assistant surfaces a next-best action: send the pricing sheet, book the Thursday follow-up, loop in the solutions architect, re-engage after 10 days of silence. The suggestion is grounded in the deal state and the activity history, with a one-line reason the rep can agree or override in 5 seconds.
Lead score narrative
A new lead arrives scored and explained.
A new lead lands. Strkr AI scores on firmographic fit, enrichment signal, and first-party intent (page visits, email engagement, in-product activity). The score comes with a one-paragraph narrative so the rep sees the reasoning. The rep can disagree and set a manual score in 10 seconds.
Risk flag
The deal shows a red tag before it slips.
Strkr AI reads every open deal and flags risk patterns: no activity in 14 days, slipped close date twice, champion stopped replying, competitor mentioned in the last call. The flag shows on the deal card with a one-line rationale. Deals get worked on Monday instead of surfacing in a Q-end review three weeks too late.
Natural-language ask
Ask the pipeline a question in the top bar.
Type a question in the ask box: which deals in the Northeast closed over 50K last quarter. Strkr AI returns the result with records cited inline. No SQL, no report builder, no RevOps ticket. The ask box inherits user claims so a rep cannot bypass visibility rules by phrasing cleverly.
Enrichment on write
A new contact lands with firmographic context attached.
A new contact arrives from a form fill or import. Strkr AI enriches with company size, industry, funding stage, tech stack where available, with a recency timestamp per field. The rep opens the record briefed instead of searching LinkedIn for 90 seconds.
Monday pipeline draft
The Monday review is ready at 7 AM.
Strkr AI drafts each manager a Monday pipeline review: deals that moved, deals that stalled, deals with weak next steps. The manager reviews in 12 minutes instead of rebuilding context for 90. The ritual that used to burn a senior IC morning now runs over a coffee.
How the assistant lives in context
Nine moments the assistant shows up.
An assistant is only useful at the moment the rep needs it. The design brief for Strkr AI is to show up in the view where the work happens, not as a separate conversation. The moments below are the places the assistant surfaces in the UI.
Opening an account
The brief loads above the activity feed.
The account view opens with a Strkr AI brief at the top. Who is the champion, what was last discussed, what are the three open commitments, what signal fired in the last 7 days. The brief is cached and refreshed on new activity, so re-opens are instant and new activity triggers a background refresh.
Hitting reply in the inbox
The draft appears in the compose box.
When the rep hits reply on an inbound thread, Strkr AI drafts in the compose box with a dim styling. The rep can edit directly, hit send, or hit regenerate for an alternative. There is no separate chat window. The draft is one keystroke away from a send.
After a call hangs up
The summary appears on the deal card.
A recorded call ends. The summary appears on the deal card in 10 to 15 seconds. The rep can accept, edit, or discard. Objections and competitor mentions appear as separate tagged fields the rep can expand to see the transcript excerpt.
The Monday morning dashboard
The pipeline review draft lands in Slack by 7 AM.
The weekly manager pipeline review drafts to Slack via a Strkr flow on Monday morning. The manager reads on their commute, lands at the desk, and runs the 1-on-1s on fresh context instead of spending the first 90 minutes rebuilding the week.
Creating a new lead
The enrichment payload attaches on save.
The rep (or an import, or a form fill) creates a new contact. Strkr AI enriches on write with firmographic signal and attaches the payload. The record is briefed before the rep opens it.
The top-bar ask box
Ask the pipeline anything in natural language.
The top-right ask box is always available. Type a question, get a cited answer in seconds. The box respects user claims so a rep cannot bypass visibility rules by phrasing cleverly, and the answer links to the records it is reading so the rep can drill in with one click.
The forecast page
The weekly narrative drafts to the forecast view.
The weekly forecast narrative drafts on the forecast page: committed number, risk calls, upside, pacing. The VP of sales edits in place and submits. The exec team reads the same shape every week; the forecast conversation becomes about the content, not the format.
The deal risk feed
Friday afternoon the risk digest surfaces.
Every Friday Strkr AI generates a risk digest across open deals over a threshold. The digest surfaces to the manager Slack channel and the deal cards get a risk tag. Deals get worked on Monday instead of surfacing in a Q-end review three weeks too late.
The admin audit console
Every assistant call is reviewable.
Every Strkr AI call writes to the admin audit log with prompt, response, model, latency, token count, user ID. The compliance officer or the RevOps lead can replay any call. The log is a Strkr workspace surface, not a vendor-managed black box.
What the assistant will not do
The limits worth telling you about.
Any virtual sales assistant that will not tell you where it falls short is selling the demo and leaving the deployment problem for your team. The list below is what Strkr AI does not do today, and in several cases why we chose not to ship it.
No autonomous send
The assistant drafts, the human sends.
The assistant drafts every outbound email, SMS, and LinkedIn message. The human reviews and sends. There is no autonomous outbound mode. The deliverability and brand-voice risk from unreviewed sends is still too high in the current model generation. Pre-approved nurture sequence steps are a different trust ceremony.
No live meeting participation
The assistant does not join your Zoom call.
Strkr AI transcribes and summarizes recordings. It does not join live calls as a meeting participant. Teams that want a live meeting bot (Grain, Fathom, Fireflies) can run that alongside and the recording ingests to Strkr for summary and tagging. The product-scope decision was to keep the assistant out of the live conversation surface.
No contract drafting
The assistant summarizes contracts; it does not write new ones.
The assistant will extract key terms from an inbound contract or redline. It will not draft a new contract from scratch. For contract assembly, Strkr integrates with PandaDoc and DocuSign where the document primitives and the legal-review flows live.
No marketing content at scale
Ad variants and thought-leadership posts live elsewhere.
The assistant drafts outbound and reply emails. It does not generate 200 ad-copy variants for paid media or 40 LinkedIn posts a week. Those are Jasper or Copy.ai jobs. The CRM is the system of record, not the content factory.
Model-vendor neutrality
The router picks per task.
The underlying model router picks the right model for the task based on cost, latency, and task shape. Over a quarter the mix shifts as the frontier evolves. The buyer who wants a vendor model named in the vendor-approval memo should ask for the current routing policy; we publish it on request.
Non-English quality lag
English, Spanish, German draft well; others thin.
Strkr AI drafts call summaries, email replies, and briefs well in English, Spanish, and German. Other languages work but sales-specific vocabulary quality lags. Non-English pipelines should pilot a sample before standardizing. We publish quality notes per language on request.
Head-to-head
Strkr vs a sidebar sales assistant tool.
Classic sidebar assistants include Lavender, Regie.ai, Nooks, and various Chrome extensions that overlay Gmail or the CRM. The comparison below is against that archetype.
Per-seat line in addition to CRM, often credit-metered
Context grounding
Live retrieval over tenant DB with record citation
Reads what the extension can see; context partial
Call summary location
On the Strkr record, 15 seconds after hang-up
In the recording tool, synced on lag
Natural-language ask
Top-bar box over the live DB
Rarely offered; usually just a drafter
Audit log
Every call captured in admin console
Vendor-side, rarely exported
Vendor model name in UI
Labeled as Strkr AI
Often exposes GPT-4 or Claude branding
Admin surface
Prompt library and policies in Strkr admin
In the vendor dashboard
Compliance posture
SOC 2 Type II in progress through 2026-Q4; HIPAA compliant with BAA available
Per-vendor; procurement audits each
How teams use Strkr
How teams use the assistant in production.
The patterns below are live customer motions. Names are changed where asked. Numbers are from pilots and the first wave of mid-market deployments.
Series A SaaS, 9 reps
Account brief replaced the pre-call prep routine.
A 9-rep team at a Series A SaaS co used to spend 10 to 15 minutes per call reviewing the account before dialing. With Strkr AI brief on open, that collapsed to 90 seconds of reading. The team ran roughly 180 calls a week across the AEs; the reclaimed time (roughly 30 hours a week across the team) went to more top-of-funnel work. The founder-CEO noted the brief feature as the single biggest stop context-switching change on the stack and we have it recorded as the line that unblocked the renewal conversation.
Agency, 14 account managers
Reply drafting on 300 client threads a day.
A 14-AM agency runs roughly 300 inbound client threads a day across retainer accounts. Strkr AI drafts the reply with the client context attached (last project, open invoices, SLA status). The AM edits in 20 seconds. Daily time saved per AM: 60 to 90 minutes. The agency added two more retainer clients per AM over the next quarter without a hire. The owner, Priya, kept a per-AM dashboard that showed the save-and-send time dropping steadily through month 2.
Mid-market B2B, 36 reps
Risk flag caught 6 stuck deals in week one.
A 36-rep B2B team turned on the Friday deal risk digest and the first week flagged 6 deals that had no activity in 14 days despite being in late stage. The team worked the 6 on the Monday, 3 re-engaged inside the week and 2 of those closed inside the quarter. The 2 extra closes alone cleared the Strkr implementation cost for the year. The RevOps lead now treats the Friday digest as the single most read Slack post of the week.
FinServ, 12 wealth advisors
Call summary with compliance tags on every call.
A 12-advisor wealth firm records every client call. Strkr AI transcribes, drafts the summary, tags for compliance-relevant content (risk disclosures, performance claims, suitability questions). The compliance officer reviews the flagged subset weekly instead of sampling full recordings. The AI handles roughly 90 percent of the compliance-review surface, which freed half an FTE back to proactive outreach and gave the compliance team a per-call audit trail the state regulator asked for.
High-velocity SMB, 7 reps
Natural-language ask replaced the Slack-to-RevOps habit.
A 7-rep SMB team used to Slack the RevOps generalist 15 times a week with questions like how many deals closed over 10K in the Southeast last month. The ask-box in Strkr returns a cited answer in seconds. The RevOps generalist got 4 to 6 hours a week back to actually ship better dashboards. The reps got answers in the moment instead of waiting on a ticket to clear.
An assistant inside the CRM, not another sidebar bot.
Start a 14-day trial with Strkr AI enabled on every record. Account brief on open, reply drafting in the inbox, call summary on hang-up, risk flag on Friday, pipeline review on Monday, natural-language ask in the top bar. All on the flat per-seat line.
What is a virtual sales assistant and how does Strkr AI compare?
A virtual sales assistant is a software layer that runs the context, draft, summarize, and brief jobs that used to require a human sales assistant or an SDR time budget. The common shape is a sidebar bot, a browser extension, or a chat widget. Strkr AI runs those jobs inside the CRM UI with claims-inherited access and retrieval grounding, which is a structural difference from the sidebar-bot archetype. The daily job shape is the same: draft, summarize, brief, score, enrich, flag, ask. The reliability and the auditability are different categories.
How does the assistant stay accurate when it drafts a reply for me?
Every draft is grounded on a retrieval query over the live tenant database that reads the account, the open opportunity, the last three activities, and any threaded context in the current reply chain. The output cites which records it is reading. When the retrieval returns nothing relevant the assistant refuses to guess rather than fabricate. In production the catch-rate for a bad draft is effectively 100 percent because the rep reads before send; there is no autonomous send mode. The result is a drafter that saves time without the brand-voice risk.
Does the assistant work with my existing recording tool or do I have to switch?
Both work. Strkr has native call recording via Strkr Messaging and Twilio-compatible SIP for the voice side, with transcription and summary on hang-up. If your team is already on Gong, Chorus, Fireflies, or similar, the recording ingests to Strkr for summary and tagging through the vendor integration. The summary lives on the deal record either way. For teams that want to consolidate, the native recording usually covers the daily use case; teams that need deep conversation intelligence analytics across hundreds of calls per rep per quarter often keep the dedicated tool.
Does the assistant replace the SDR role?
No, and vendors that market it that way are overselling. The assistant removes 60 to 90 minutes per SDR per day of reply drafting, account briefing, and manual enrichment. A disciplined SDR covers roughly 60 percent more pipeline than a baseline SDR without those jobs. Teams typically rebalance (fewer net new SDR hires, more investment in AE and solutions-architect roles) rather than replace. The real answer on headcount is reallocation, not elimination.
What does the admin console look like for the assistant?
One surface in Strkr admin. The admin manages the prompt library, the enabled flows (brief on open, draft on reply, summary on close), and the audit log retention. There is no per-feature micro-config across 7 vendor dashboards. The admin surface is a Strkr surface, not a bolt-on, which is the pattern reason the admin overhead stays low as the team scales from 10 to 100 reps.
How does Strkr handle compliance for regulated industries using an AI assistant?
Every assistant call writes to the admin audit log with prompt, response, model routed to, latency, token count, user ID. Every call runs under the users claims so visibility rules propagate. An AI Defense layer scans incoming prompts for jailbreak patterns and outgoing content for PII exposure. SOC 2 Type II is in progress through 2026-Q4 and covers the AI pipeline the same way as the rest of the application. HIPAA compliant with BAA available for healthcare-adjacent deployments. Financial services teams usually find the audit answer here cleaner than at sidebar-bot vendors who bolted assistant features on later.
