Feature · Quote-to-Cash Automation

Quote-to-cash automation that runs on the deal record, not around it.

Quote-to-cash automation is the chain of flows that connect quote generation to signature to invoice to revenue recognition. Strkr Flows ships the triggers, actions, LLM augments, and audit log native to the deal, so the chain runs on one record instead of across five systems.

The automation chain

Where the flows fire in the quote-to-cash sequence.

Quote-to-cash as a process is the ordered path from quote through revenue recognition. The automation is the flow chain that fires at each step so the process does not depend on a human remembering to update the next system. The sections below describe the chain Strkr ships.

Quote created

The first flow fires on quote draft save.

Trigger: quote created on a deal. Actions: validate line items against the pricebook, apply default terms, run the LLM to draft a quote-cover note, surface the quote on the deal page. The rep opens the quote with the scaffold complete and the compliance checks already run.

Discount above threshold

An out-of-policy discount routes for approval.

Trigger: discount exceeds the configured threshold. Actions: route to the approval chain by segment and discount size, notify the approver with the deal and the justification, log every approver step. The policy is enforced by the chain, not by a quarterly audit.

Quote sent

The e-sign handoff writes a tracked event.

Trigger: rep clicks Send for Signature. Actions: route the quote to DocuSign or PandaDoc with the recipient list from the deal, log the send event, open the signature-tracking tile. The rep gets a notification on signature; no polling.

Quote signed

Signature writes back to the deal.

Trigger: e-sign vendor webhook reports signed. Actions: move the deal to Closed-Won, write the signed-quote URL to the deal, notify the account owner, notify finance for invoice. The signed state is captured on the deal, not in an inbox.

Invoice generated

The finance system reads the quote.

Trigger: deal moved to Closed-Won. Actions: push the quote line items to the finance system (Stripe, QuickBooks, NetSuite via native integration), generate the invoice, write the invoice URL back to the deal. The finance system reads the quote data, not a rep's re-entry.

Payment received

Payment event closes the loop.

Trigger: payment received webhook from the finance system. Actions: update the account to current, trigger the CS handoff (project create, onboarding flow), notify the account owner. The cash-received event closes the quote-to-cash loop and feeds the renewal cadence.

The LLM augments

Where Strkr AI inserts into the chain.

The flow chain is the structure; the LLM is the pattern that eliminates the manual judgment calls at specific steps. The sections below describe where Strkr AI augments the quote-to-cash flow.

Quote-cover drafting

The AI writes the cover note.

When a quote is created, Strkr AI drafts a cover note referencing the discussions on the deal timeline. The rep edits and sends. The cover note is personal, not a boilerplate paragraph the buyer skips. The LLM is a drafter, not a decider.

Discount justification review

The AI reads the rep's justification.

When a rep submits a discount justification, Strkr AI reads the text and classifies strength (competitive pressure, strategic account, pipeline-only). The classifier helps the approver scan the chain faster. The approver still decides; the AI is pre-sorting the pile.

Line-item sanity check

The AI catches obvious misconfigurations.

The LLM reads the line-item set and flags anomalies: a bundle that is incomplete, a SKU that duplicates another SKU, a quantity that looks wrong for the segment. The rep sees the flags before sending. The flag is a nudge, not a block.

Signature-chase draft

The AI writes the follow-up.

If a quote sits unsigned past the configured SLA, Strkr AI drafts a follow-up to the signer referencing the terms. The rep reviews and sends. The chase cadence runs itself without the rep remembering every quote.

Invoice reconciliation

The AI reads the invoice back against the quote.

When the invoice lands from the finance system, Strkr AI compares it line-by-line to the signed quote. Discrepancies are flagged for finance review before the invoice ships to the client. The reconciliation catches billing errors at the source.

Dunning tone adaptation

The AI adjusts dunning language by account tier.

For strategic accounts, Strkr AI writes a softer dunning note referencing the relationship. For transactional accounts, the note is terse. The tone adaptation respects the account tier without the finance team drafting two sequences.

The audit layer

Every step in the chain is captured.

A revenue-affecting chain of automations must be auditable end to end. The sections below describe the audit layer Strkr ships on top of the quote-to-cash flow.

Event capture

Every flow step writes a timeline event.

Quote created, approval sought, approval granted, quote sent, quote signed, invoice generated, payment received. Each one lands on the deal timeline with timestamp, actor, and payload. The timeline is the single auditable artifact for the whole cycle.

Immutable log

Events are append-only.

The audit log is append-only. A step cannot be edited after the fact. A correction is a new event that references the prior one. The compliance team reads the actual history, not a rewritten story. The log is the trusted artifact.

Replay for investigation

A failed step can be replayed.

When a flow step fails (e.g., the invoice generation webhook returns 503), the step is logged and surfaced on the admin dashboard. The admin can fix the underlying issue and replay with the same inputs. The replay closes the operational loop without manual recovery.

Export for finance

CSV or SIEM push on schedule.

The audit log exports as CSV or pushes to a SIEM endpoint on a schedule. Finance and compliance teams get the raw event stream for SOX, revenue-recognition, and audit obligations. The export is permission-scoped and runs out of the Flows layer.

Per-event latency

How fast each step ran.

The audit log captures the latency between the trigger and the first action for each step. The report rolls up median approval latency, median signature latency, and median invoice latency by segment. Bottlenecks are visible without a quarterly workshop.

Permission-scoped read

The audit respects record-level access.

The audit log honors the same record-level permissions as the deal. A regional manager querying the audit for their region does not see events on deals outside their region. The permission model is one, not a shadow policy on the audit log.

What the chain replaces

The multi-vendor stack a native chain retires.

Most quote-to-cash workflows stitch across four to six systems. The sections below describe the systems and the gaps that Strkr's native chain closes.

CRM + CPQ + e-sign + billing + accounting

Five systems, four integration points.

The common Q2C stack is CRM (Salesforce) + CPQ (Salesforce CPQ or DealHub) + e-sign (DocuSign) + billing (Stripe or Zuora) + accounting (NetSuite). The integration points carry sync drift. Strkr collapses the first three natively and integrates the last two over typed webhooks.

Zapier bridges

Hourly syncs that break on schema drift.

Teams often stitch the five systems above with Zapier bridges. The sync is hourly, the schema breaks when any system changes a field, and the automation is split across ten Zaps. Strkr's native chain removes the bridge layer for the Strkr-owned portion.

Spreadsheet reconciliation

A monthly cleanup of invoice-vs-quote mismatches.

Mid-market finance teams routinely run a monthly reconciliation of invoices against signed quotes. The pass takes a day and catches dozens of mismatches. Strkr's LLM-based reconciliation flag catches the mismatches at invoice generation, before they ship.

Email approval chains

Lost context, unknown status.

Discount approval often runs through email forwards. The status is "ask the director", the audit is "search the inbox". Strkr's approval action replaces the email chain with a tracked flow and the audit lands on the quote.

Point-in-time reports

A monthly roll-up that is already stale.

Many teams run a monthly deals-closed vs invoices-generated vs payments-received report in a spreadsheet pulled from four systems. The report is already stale on arrival. Strkr's live dashboard reads the chain in real time and the leader opens it any day of the month.

Strkr

Native chain, LLM-augmented, auditable.

Quote generation, approval, send, sign, invoice, payment, revenue recognition events all run on the Strkr deal record with native integrations for the finance system. LLM augments at the judgment points. Full audit log on every step. The seat price listed is the full price.

Common questions

What buyers ask about this feature.

What is quote-to-cash automation?

Quote-to-cash automation is the flow chain that connects quote generation to signature to invoice to revenue recognition. The triggers fire at each step so the process does not depend on a human remembering to update the next system. Strkr Flows ships the triggers (quote created, discount above threshold, quote sent, quote signed, invoice generated, payment received), the actions (approval routing, e-sign handoff, invoice generation, payment reconciliation), the LLM augments (quote-cover drafting, line-item sanity check, dunning tone), and the audit log native to the deal.

How does Strkr's quote-to-cash chain integrate with finance systems?

Strkr integrates natively with Stripe, QuickBooks, and NetSuite for the invoice and payment steps. The integration pushes signed quote line items to the finance system as the invoice source and reads the payment-received event back via webhook. For finance systems not natively connected, the webhook action POSTs the signed quote payload to any endpoint and the webhook trigger accepts the payment-received event back. The pattern covers industry-specific finance systems without a separate integration platform.

What does LLM augmentation add to quote-to-cash?

The LLM augments at the judgment points in the chain: drafting the quote cover note (personal reference to deal timeline), classifying the strength of a discount justification (competitive, strategic, pipeline-only), flagging line-item anomalies (incomplete bundles, duplicate SKUs), drafting signature-chase follow-ups, reconciling invoices back against signed quotes, and adapting dunning tone by account tier. Every augment is a drafter or a flagger, not a decider.

Is the quote-to-cash chain auditable?

Yes. Every step writes an immutable timeline event with timestamp, actor, and payload. The log is append-only and queryable. Failed steps can be replayed after the underlying bug is fixed. The audit exports as CSV or pushes to a SIEM endpoint on a schedule for SOX, revenue-recognition, and vendor-audit obligations. The audit layer is included on the paid base tier with no per-event meter.

How is this different from Salesforce CPQ + Billing?

Salesforce CPQ + Billing is the enterprise reference for quote-to-cash. The capability is deep, the SKUs sit on upper tiers, and the configuration demands admin certification. Strkr covers the common 80 percent of CPQ + Billing (pricebook, line items, discount approval, PDF, e-sign, invoice push to finance, payment reconciliation) on the paid base tier without the admin tax. For revenue-recognition rules that require Salesforce Billing specifically, Strkr's native integration pushes the line items to the Billing system without duplicating the config.

Can we track the latency of each step in the chain?

Yes. The audit log captures the latency between trigger and first action for each step. The report rolls up median approval latency, median signature latency, median invoice latency, and median payment latency by segment. The report is live and drills to the underlying deals. Bottlenecks (e.g., "approval over threshold averages 72 hours in Enterprise segment") are visible without a quarterly workshop.
